For three days in Gorky Park was celebrated Russian religious folk holiday - Maslenitsa. During that time the event was visited by over 90000 people.
Throughout the day guests were entertained by ethic music groups, folk bands, among which were "Ivan Kupala" and "Pelagea". There were workshops and competitions. Guests were treated with a traditional meal of this holiday - pancakes with different fillings that suit any taste.
The culmination of the event was the burning of the carnival doll - Maslenitsa. It‘s role played the eleven meter steel installation "Firebird" that was made by the famous contemporary land art artist Nicholas Polissky.
